MITCHELLThe generosity of spirit from so many friends engendered by Caroline's recent illness and death has been a great comfort to Ian, daughter Ann and family. They thank each one for their letters and cards of condolences. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at Kirkcudbright Hospital for their care of Caroline and Ian and the family; to David and Robert Mitchell and staff for their sympathetic funeral arrangements; to the Rev. Douglas Irving and Mhairi Wallace for their uplifting and memorable service; and to Broughton House staff and Barry Scott for the fitting setting and catering afterwards. As a memorial to Caroline from those who honoured her by their presence at the church service, each of the two charities will benefit by £500.
